As much as we’re holding onto hope for a last minute heat wave to end summer, it isn’t looking very likely... So we thought we’d help you fall into Autumn by reminding you of all the amazing products and trends to come!
One of our favourite parts about the season changing, is we can completely reinvent our style, from head to toe. Luckily, you can do all of that in our centre.
We love changing our hair colour and style to fit the season. Our incredible stylists at Francesco know exactly what to do to give your hair an autumn boost. There are some gorgeous new trends that have taken over this Autumn, like ombre.
We know what you’re thinking, ombre has been around for months, maybe even years. Everyone from Lucy Hale to the Kardashians have hit the streets with that style.
Well, the new ombre has almost never been seen, it’s subtler, warmer and the transition is seamless! This style is usually seen on people with deep brown hair, blending into a warm chocolate brown towards the ends.
Don’t worry though, this look doesn’t only work for brunettes, this style looks perfect for all you lush blondes who want to add some warm caramel and honey tones towards the colder seasons.
It’s not just about the colour either. You can give your hair a little extra oomph by just changing the style! We’re seeing celebrities everywhere taking the chop lately, like Vanessa Hudgens and Helen Mirren. We’re absolutely in love with their locks. Helen is the hair Queen, she can pull off any style or colour effortlessly and she’s recently been spotted with tight natural looking curls. Vanessa has taken the plunge and has cut her gorgeous goddess mane into a short blunt bob and we’re obsessed!
Whilst we’re talking about beauty, we may as well slide into Harbour Beauty to freshen up your nails. Whether you prefer acrylics, shellac or just basic polish, the running theme for Autumn nails is strictly warm tones.
We’re seeing a lot of people adding different colours for each nail and we love this trend, especially on acrylics! There’s a running theme of oranges, reds, burgundy, beige and a range sprinkled with glitter. When it comes to shape, square is timeless, however coffin is the latest hot trend that everyone loves.. which will seem exceptionally well named around the end of October.
Autumn fashion is one of our favourites. Warm jumpers, cosy cardigans, comfy boots..? Perfect!
New Look has it all when it comes to Fashion and there really is something for everyone! Whether you are small and struggle to find pants the right length, pregnant and can’t find pretty maternity wear or tall and can never find clothes long enough for you, there’s a section at New Look with your name on it.
If you’re a mum then you probably don’t get much time to shop for yourself... and when you do, your clothes end up covered in baby grub or mud from your little ones! You need something that is going to be practically indestructible, easy to remove stains from, doesn’t break the bank and still makes you feel good! Well look no further because New Look has it all!
Curves Grey Boucie Cardigan- £29.99, Black D Ring Beit Contrast Stitch Cropped Trousers- £22.99, Cream Mesh Lace Panel High Neck Blouse- £14.99, Black Suedette Block Heel Boots- £27.99.
Unfortunately we aren’t blessed with glorious weather all year round like some places in the world... so we’ve picked out a few bits and bobs from Millets. These are perfect for the wet and windy weather, especially if you’re a fan of exploring with the family.
Women’s Country Walker Boots- £99.00, Women’s Paloma Parka: £60.00, Men’s Insulated Storm Jacket: £27.00, Kids Sormskirk Walking Boots: £21.00.
We understand that walking and exploring isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Some of you will want to escape this cold British weather... and to be honest, we don’t blame you! Imagine lying on the beach with a cocktail in one hand and a good book in the other. So we’ve picked out some of our favourite places to visit around the world that you can book through Thomson or Hays Travel.
If you prefer shorter flights, then Mallorca is the place for you. They have some gorgeous beaches, bars and loads for the kids to do in the October holidays.
Or maybe you’re not particularly fussed about the sun and you fancy somewhere that has more sight-seeing. If this sounds familiar, a long weekend break could be the perfect holiday for you. Our travel agents have some amazing offers on for short breaks to Amsterdam or Rome. Whatever floats your boat, we’ll definitely find the ideal holiday for you.
If you’re planning a trip away or even if you’re staying home this Autumn, it’s always good to have a book on hand for your free time. Luckily for you, we’ve scoured WHSmith for all the best autumn reads.... okay, we may have had a little bit of help from WHSmith’s celebrity book clubs. If you’re looking for a gripping story then check out ‘Kill the Father’. Richard and Judy’s review of the book was: ‘Hit the ground running and doesn’t stop until you’ve turned to the last page. A terrific tale of murder, child kidnap, and a police race against time. Detectives are helped by someone who was himself abducted as a boy, by a man only known as The Father. And he’s back.’ – We don’t know about you but we can’t wait to get out hands on this masterpiece.
But sometimes we don’t get chance ourselves to read a book, especially if we’ve got little ones to look after. So we’ve found some fantastic books that you can read to the kids! Take a look at Mcfly’s Tom Fletchers book club on the WHSmith website: https://blog.whsmith.co.uk/tfbc917-the-tom-fletcher-book-club-exclusive-to-whsmith/
Autumn is all about food and drink. Whether you prefer popping into our top notch Costa Coffee or Caffe Nero for a ginger bread latte or you prefer to whip something up at home we’ve got some fantastic suggestions.

Holland and Barrett have come up with some amazing Halloween recipes that will be perfect to treat the kids with or to have at parties.
